SINISTARR
City Series Mix Volume 32
Starting out as a strictly Drum & Bass producer in Detroit, Jeremy Howard aka Sinistarr has gained a healthy catalog of releases and remixes on prestigious labels such as Metalheadz, Hospital Records, Project 51, Renegade Hardware, and many others, but in the past year he has grown into new tempos and styles across the electronic music genre. Sinistarr's debut excursion into this realm of footwork, jungle and every style of club music saw him reach out to an entirely new audience, with heavyweights such as Dabrye, Chrissy Murderbot, Salva, Pinch and Om Unit taking notice, and even landed him features on URB, Resident Advisor, Complex Magazine, and even a sample pack and cover page spread for Computer Music Magazine. Sinistarr has also contributed work for the seminal group Urban Tribe with DJ Stingray, Carl Craig, Moodymann and Anthony Shakir.

If you could collaborate musically with anyone of your choice, who would you choose?
As of right now, I would say A.G. Cook - I'm loving his PC Music label and everything themed around it.
What is your favorite venue you've ever performed at?
1/2 Lounge in Burlington, Vermont - June 2010 (My first tour ever as Sinistarr). The place held 60-75 people at capacity, there were about 100 or more by the time I went on, and I played for about 2 hours. Magical.
What DJ gear and travel essentials do you always carry with you on the road?
My laptop if it's a long trip, CDs, a few USB sticks, iPad, YSL cologne, sunglasses (those are most essential), portable power charger, and my Olloclip (camera lens for my iPhone).
