Kidrobot Black Collection
In November 2012, we combined forces with Kid Robot and Staple Design to design and produce a sling bag for the Kid Robot Black Collection. The highly limited edition series which also included tee-shirts, a hat and pigeon figurine was comprised of an all-black colorway plus a single hit of color. "In design language, a true black is made up of specific percentages of cyan, magenta, yellow and black. Staple played with the conflicting idea that these pop, bright colors are essential to making a rich black color. In the Kidrobot Black Collection, the CMYK spectrum is subtly visible in all pieces to create an understated graphic aesthetic."
