In September 2012, we were asked by Red Bull and Streetvirus to design the ultimate DJ Backpack that finalists in the Red Bull Thre3Style competition would receive. To make the most functional DJ backpack possible, we consulted with friend, DJ Clark Kent, who has made classic beats for multiple hip hop legends and travels the world performing in clubs. Young Guru (Jay-Z’s DJ and engineer) also worked with us during the design process to construct an innovative and stylish DJ laptop bag. During the design process, we measured everything a DJ would typically carry with them to a performance and made sure there was a spot for each of these items in the DJ laptop bag. While this design was specific to the Thre3Style competition, our Lexdray Ibiza pack is a similar DJ bag that's available for purchase.
100 numbered DJ packs were released and given to finalists of the Red Bull Thre3Style competition, along with snap back hats from Mitchell and Ness, and 14 individually numbered one-of-a-kind jackets designed by Streetvirus. Each item featured Red Bull's "Champion Sound" logo and special duck print camo lining designed by Streetvirus.
